Second c-section after an emergency one 3 years ago?

I went into labour with my first on my due date and she was born early hours of the next day (2007). after 28 hours of labour i had not dilated and she was in distress towards the end. I am 25 weeks pregnant now and just today went to see the consultant as i had decided to opt for an elective c-section in fear of the same happening again. The consultant was very rude and abrupt with me and i ended up in tears. she told me that she would not book me in for one until i satisfied her that i had thought about it. I told her im 25 weeks pregnant and have had so much time to think about my options and have decided to go for this. She went on to try all sorts of angles to try to get me to change my mind, telling me (very harshly) that i could bleed and they could 'put a hole' in one of my organs and that its possible for me to have to have an hysterectomy and that would mean 'no more kids for you'. she then went on to book me in for a c-section 3 days after my due date saying thats what you got. I am not worried about giving birth naturally just rerally worried that the same will happen again!! anyone any advice for me??
