Should i help my best friend who is a child molester?

i have a very good friend who's been with me thru thick and thin. he's a person that you can count on whenever your in trouble and will stand by you no matter what! i just learned that a lawsuit was filed against him for molesting his 18 year old niece for 4 years( she's 11 then)! i asked him and he admitted in doing it! i hate child abusers and molesters, i dont want it to happen to my child ( i have an 11 year old daughter) but i do believe i could help my friend since i have a lot of very good lawyer friends . so please help me.. im torn between helping him and condeming him to death!
