Audio CD Changer question?

I just bought a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer and it has a factory installed 6 disc cd changer in it. The prob is that the previous owner swapped out the factory dash radio for a new one. It's a JVC KD-G210. The disc changer doesn't work now. Is there anyway I can hook it back up? Maybe with this radio or with another one? The changer is in my console and it takes up alot of room. If I can't make it work, I would like to take it out, but don't know how. I would really like to figure it out so I can use it. I do not have the original radio, so I am not sure how many options I have regarding this matter. Thanks for the info!
