How do I unprotect .WMA Files that I downloaded from Windows Media Player Store. I need to transfer to Ipod?

I just recently bough an Ipod. However I-tunes is saying that It cant copy the songs which I paid for because they're protected. Does anyone know about a program or way to unprotect them so they can be used in I-tunes. Thank you. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions.
