Can your accent change overtime?

depends on whether you want it to or not. My sister and I are both from the north of england but my sister married a southener and now she sounds more like him than me! We tend to emulate the people that we like, their expressions, etc. I'm proud to be a northener, so even though I haven't lived there for a while my accent hasn't changed at all!
