What does it mean to speak of religion as “stabilizing the world”?

It means they are too wrapped up in their beliefs to see the dangers all other religions cause. Right and wrong is wright and wrong. The danger comes when you have to believe in their god in order to be saved and the other one says the same of their beliefs. Then you get war, people die, wash, rinse, repeat.
