Has anyone read the book "Art Geeks and Prom Queens" by Alyson Noel?

if so, could you please tell me what story pattern you think this book would best fit into, besides reality teen fiction. (story pattern means like tragedy, comedy, romance etc. kind of like a genre only more specific). for example Bruce Almighty would be a comedy because he has a girl, does something stupid, loses the girl, then gets her back.
