Chlamydia and pregnancy...?

My ex-husband called me (we're still friends), and said that his wife has chlamydia. When he left me for her, she had it then, and infected him. They both got treated and had follow-ups that showed they are clean. Now she has it again, but he doesn't. She's pregnant and due in early July. She told him she thinks she got it from her vibrator that she hadn't cleaned. Could that be possible, or could she have gotten it any other way besides cheating on him? He's in the us marine corp, and hasn't been home in 3 months.
